Blantyre's Little Treasures

July 18, 2018

It’s the middle of July and winter seems to have finally and properly graced us with her presence. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been cold but can walk around with a cardigan and at most a coat cold. Not you have to wear layers cold.
The kind of cold where you didn’t have to make so many trips to Mugg and Bean cold for a fix of hot chocolate.

I don’t mind the cold, winter is actually and absolutely my favourite time of the year. I do get a lot of side eyes for this but hey a girl is what a girl is 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. Spring comes in second. I was told once if I experienced a snowy winter, I would change by mind. Didn’t turn out that way.

I absolutely loved my snowy time in Norway… How can you not fall in love with this. This was always going to end with me loving winter that much more.
One of my favourite places to hang out in Blantyre, Mijn Kitchen Coffee Shop and winter made it look all so gorgeous today with the cloud cover and showers.

I could have spent my whole afternoon here, drinking hot chocolate and indulging in their caramel chocolate cake if I didn’t have to go back to work. Winter has come and I am in my happy place! 😊😊😊
